WHEN: October 17-23, 2011. The Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open presented by Planters takes place at a crucial time on the Nationwide Tour schedule.  It is the last tournament before the tour’s final event, the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island.  That means all of the Nationwide Tour’s top players will be on hand as they make their final push to finish the season among “The 25” — the group of players who earn their PGA TOUR cards for the following season.
 
WHERE: The famed TPC Sawgrass, home of THE PLAYERS Championship.  Tournament action will take place on the Dye’s Valley Course, which was designed by legendary golf course architect Pete Dye.  As a sibling to the world renowned PLAYERS Stadium Course, Dye’s Valley has hosted its own share of historic tournaments, including the Senior PLAYERS Championship in 1988 won by Billy Casper.
